How To Give Your Hair Lots Of Body When Blow Styling It:

Trick number 1: Use the right size round brush. If your hair is short a smaller size round brush is best. The longer the hair the bigger size you should chose. It is important that the round brush has bristles and not thin plastic bristles because this type of brush tangles easily and to such an extend that you will have to cut it out of your hair. The second disadvantage is that it is not suitable for proper styling. The only exception is if your hair is very short. In that case it won’t be able to tangle and it will just turn the ends under.

Trick number 2: Start to style your hair in the back (of course by now you have shampooed your hair, conditioned it and put on a setting lotion). Section your hair in about one to one and a half section and pin up the rest, working with just that one section. That takes more time but gives you a better style that lasts. Hold it up at an 90 degree angle and put the round brush right on the roots area and turn it a bit before rolling in the rest of the section. That gives it more body. As you roll it pull it a little bit. Roll it neatly around the brush and with the other hand apply the blow dryer in the direction you rolled it. Make sure the hair is really dry when you finish with that section. You might have to repeat this two or three times.

Trick number 3: Put an extra hold setting lotion ( this is usually a liquid gel) right on the roots of each section of hair you are blow styling. As you get to the crown and the top of your head you’ll notice that your hair is getting more dry. However this is the part of your hair where you need the most body and applying some extra hold setting lotion to that part (instead of just re wetting it) and blow styling it will give it great body that will last you for days and will make your hair style look .

How to Style Your Hair in a Flat, Straight Style

Trick number 1: After shampooing and conditioning it apply a setting lotion such as a liquid gel setting lotion. Start in the back, section about a two inch section and pin up the rest. (The “jaws” that hair stylists use are the best).

Trick number 2: For long hair use a paddle brush, drying and styling section by section. The size of a paddle brush will not make it puffy and nice and straight. You have to make sure though that each section of your hair you are working on is really dry. In addition to make it really straight and smooth use the flat iron.

Trick number 3: For short hair use a spider brush. Again section your hair in one to two inches wide sections, pin up the rest and starting close to the root area slide it all the way to the ends. Evenly and slowly. Use a high quality iron with ceramic plating and you won’t burn your hair.
